The key to a great JEE prep is LOTS of revision. Even if you are in class 11, you would have covered a nice chunk of the syllabus already. Class 12th aspirants have almost 60-70% of their JEE syllabus to revise now.
But there is a BIG problem here - you also have current topics to cover, which is also important. How do you balance the two?
First, you should fix 1-2 hours daily for revision. Make this number more, 3-4 hours, on holidays. Do this no matter how much homework you have. This is non negotiable. Unless you take out time separately for revision, you will never have it. We have more capacity than we think. if you take out time, you will be able to cover other things fast automatically.
Second, increase your study time. Look at your screen time - chances are that you would have at least 2-3 hours daily wasted on things you didn’t intend. You could have put these hours towards revision. Find creative ways to save time (if you travel in bus/auto, study in it. If you have a free period in school, use it. If you have to wait for someone to pick you up, study on your phone, etc. I know it sounds cringe and “too much” but I would rather be a cringe IITian than a cool guy who chills and didn’t cover his syllabus).
Third, try to revise topics that are related to current topics. This saves time as you will study related topics together. For example, revise Equilibrium before/during/just after Electrochemistry, or study Atomic structure in Chemistry during Atomic Physics, Conic sections during Tangents & Normals, etc.
Hope this help.
