I have been away from emailing you for a while due to some other work I had. Good news is - I am back, and for a long time now!
This post will be all about JEE 2024, whether you are dropping from JEE 2023 or you are Class 12 student right now.
There are basically 3 portions to clearing JEE 2024:
Current chapters of Class 12
Backlogs of Class 11
Revision of chapters of Class 11 you are good at
I suggest that 70% of your time should go to current chapters - listening to lectures in classes, making notes, revising notes, solving your homework, discussing doubts with teachers/friends, revising those chapters for test, etc.
20% of your time (mostly Sundays, holidays, when you are free from current chapters) should go into clearing class 11 backlogs - and this should be very basic coverage, nothing too advanced. You can read the theory from notes/NCERT, watch online lectures, solve exercise 1 from your coaching booklets.
Note that we do not prepare a backlog chapter till JEE Advanced level yet. For that you will get a lot of time later on (vacations, time before JEE/boards) - for now you must take the chapter from zero to a base level. That in itself is good progress :)
10% of your time will go to revising chapters of class 11. This should not be basic revision, but advanced level revision. You can skim through notes to recall, and then solve relatively hard questions. You must have marked the harder questions in your study material - revise them.
If you have less backlog, you can increase the revision time to 20%, adjust according to how your preparation is going - but at least 70% of your time MUST go into studying current topics.
