The word “motivation” gets a bad rep, specially among brighter students like you because it is associated with cringe YouTube shayari types videos these days.
But this is not why I am writing this post, I want to talk about internal motivation - just like in mathematics we have “motivation” for a proof, I want you to discover your motivation for clearing the exam.
Ask yourself - “Why do I want to get into an IIT?” There could be many factors behind it.
You just like the idea of being an IITian
You want the salary and income that IITians make
You want the education & respect that IITians command
You want to prove your family and yourself, make them proud
You want to change the world and help society by being an IITian
There could be more factors (let me know in the comments what is yours!) - but all of these are pretty common and reasonable motivations to become an IITian.
You can achieve all of these things in many ways without even being an IITian - so many impactful, rich, or respected individuals exist who don’t have an education from an IIT. But you know what they have in common?
They all are smart, they work hard, and have a fire inside them.
You cannot succeed without these three things - and being an IITian is the FASTEST method to achieve all of these goals at a young age. If you are reading this and are subscribed to my channel/this newsletter, you are more serious than 99% aspirants - as you care about your future and are willing to learn more.
So why are you wasting this golden opportunity you have?
Lakhs of kids don’t even know about JEE prep and IIT before it’s too late, many don’t have the resources for it, or the motivation. But you have all three - so why are you not making the most of this chance?
You can always succeed later in life, but it gets much harder. Right now, you are only supposed to study well and score some marks. This is as easy as life gets. Later, you will have to work a lot more (go to office, start a business, deal with people) to rise up “the ladder” - but if you just put your best effort for ONE year, you can be a different league all together.
Every cricketer plays on the same 22 yard pitch with the same effort - now it is your decision if you want to play interschool, or international. I want you to be a Sachin, not a local and forgotten cricketer.
So why don’t you get yourself back to work and see your life with some perspective? This time and opportunity won’t come back - and that is the last piece of motivation I want to give today.
That’s it, subscribe to this free newsletter for more such motivation, strategy and tips emails straight to your inbox:
