A common question I am asked is how can someone tell that they will make it to IITs. I will tell you three simple ways, all of which are corelated.
First, if you solve 50,000 questions before JEE Advanced starting from today, I guarantee that you will make it to IIT. These should be equally divided between simple, medium and hard questions - no cheating. This is roughly 100 questions per day starting from now - not a very hard goal to achieve. This include your homework, mocktests, revision, books, etc.
Second, if you study 8-10 hours on a daily basis you will definitely make it. These should be honest hours, don’t take shortcuts. You can count any JEE related activity such as classes, tests, homework, revision, etc in it.
Third, if you solve all your study material 3-5 times per chapter you will make it. First time the material should be solved fully, later you can solve only the important questions. This is not as hard as it looks as usually students have 1 revision each before JEE Main and Advanced each. You must solve the study material (coaching/books) 1-2 times during 11-12th.
Do you religiously follow these rules? If yes, you will surely make it.
