Everyone wants to get a CSE seat at IIT Bombay - the branch opted by all the toppers. The place where your life is truly set once you get there. But how does one get there?
Turns out, it is easier than you think. There are just 3 steps which if followed will easily land you in IIT Bombay:
Trust in the process. You must fix ONE main method of studying - for most students this will be your coaching. It could be books or online courses as well (although they are better as supplements to your coaching). You must stick to it and study it fully instead of switching your method of studying every now and then. You have to trust the process and keep doing it for 2 years straight! You can practically get any rank you want with just your coaching lectures, material, PYQs and test series.
Stay disciplined and consistent. Most JEE aspirants quit in the first few months and then never recover. Don’t be this person - students who stick with the prep till the end WILL get selected in a good college trust me. You must attend all classes, take notes, solve all homework on time, give all tests. Initially you will not see results but you must not quit and keep going. One day, results will come. You must be disciplined and have a proper schedule for sleep, coaching, school, homework, revision, etc.
Practice many problems. At the end of the day, JEE is an objective exam. Your knowledge is useless if it cannot help you select the right answer at the end of the test. You should put your problem solving ability at the top priority of your preparation. Being able to solve all the problems in your coaching modules, test series and books should be the target. Once you can solve a certain level of problems, look for a book which has slightly harder problems (if you can solve HCV, go for Irodov, etc). This is how you level up to JEE Advanced level!
These were my 3 key tips - trust your coaching, stay disciplined for 2 years, and solve as many hard problems as you can. I hope this helped you!
