JEE 2023 is round the corner, here’s 3 things you should do to maximise your score.
1. Focus on what you know
You must not start any new topic now. Focus on what you already know, no fancy stuff please. Even if you have covered only 40-50% of the syllabus (or less), better to revise it again than start new topics.
It’s impossible to learn new topics starting now and you will likely lack confidence in older chapters due to lack of revision. Best to revamp what you know already!
Go through your notes, rewatch lectures, solve questions - you’ll be way more confident about chapters you haven’t revised in a while.
2. Give 8-10 test before exam
I know it’s tempting to revise and solve questions right now, but remember that you are giving a test at the end of the day. No point of having bookish knowledge if you can’t perform on the exam day.
Which is why you must solve a paper every 2 days starting now. This is an excellent way of revising as well - you’ll solve 900 extra questions before your exam!
Even if you can’t solve some questions, still attempt and try to improve on your silly mistakes. Chances are, a few questions will be similar in the exam from these 8-10 tests and you will have some bonus marks!
3. Don’t overthink this
I get it, this exam is important and many of you are super stressed right now. But you’ll be better off if you give this exam just like you would give a mock test.
Thinking about this as some sort of a life changing exam is not going to help you any way. You anyway have the April attempt, JEE Advanced, and other exams like BITSAT or state exams in case you don’t do well.
So chill out, study your best and all the best!
